Dedicated to promoting and preserving the legacy of George Bird and Kay Harris Evans, the Old Hemlock Foundation maintains 232 acres of real estate situated on the Brandonville Pike in Preston County, West Virginia, which is known as “Old Hemlock.” Containing the c 1815 homestead and surrounding acreage bought by the Evans in the 1930's, the foundation provides educational outreach to the surrounding area and works to promote George and Kay's views of hunting and the outdoors. On this channel, the "Old Hemlock Family," owners of the line of gun dogs (Old Hemlock setters) George bred, and others connected with Old Hemlock share memories of George and Kay, their writings, their lifestyle and philosophy, visits to Old Hemlock, and the gun dogs that form Old Hemlock's living History.
